Two Fencing Options to Consider for Your Residential Property

Blog

Fences are used in various ways on a residential property to enclose a front garden or a pool deck, for instance. Consider the following two fencing options which you can install in various areas.

Glass Balustrades

One possibility is glass balustrades that you can install in your backyard around a pool or in your home, alongside a stairway. Glass is ideal around a pool as it offers a clear view of the pool area. Thus, even if you're not swimming yourself, you can keep a watch on others to make sure they're safe.

A glass pool barrier needs to comply with building safety standards that specify the fence height and other factors, which your contractor will be familiar with. Beneficially, glass doesn't allow for footholds that enable children to climb over the fence, securing the area and maintaining safety standards.

With these barriers, you'll enjoy a sleek, open feel in a backyard because they don't visually block off areas. Your garden will feel more spacious than more clearly defined fences such as tubular metal designs, which aren't so invisible. Additionally, glass panels block the wind, so you'll be able to lounge on the pool deck even on mild days. You can also install tinted glass panels in bronze, grey, green, or blue, adding colour to the landscape.

Tubular Metal Fences

Tubular metal fences can enclose a front garden, pool deck, or patio. These railings add decoration wherever you install them, evoking a classic look. They come in a wide range of compositions. You could install a standard flat-top design with vertical railings and a horizontal rail on top. Whether painted white, black, green, or another hue, these simple models look elegant and stylish. For a more ornate fence, you could install railings filled with circles, scrolls, and spearhead carvings.

To enclose a pool, the railings need to be of a specific height and close enough together and to the ground to not leave gaps through which children can wiggle. You'll be able to see through to the pool area with one of these barriers — though, the metal railing will disrupt the view slightly.

You can install tubular metal fences around your front garden also to create a beautiful facade. Fencing services can combine the railings with cement or brick pillars to form a more substantial barrier and with extra visual interest. Match the colours of the posts and railings or contrast them by installing black bars between beige cement rendered pillars, for example.

Fencing off the yard

Our dogs are lots of fun and very energetic, but they also have a scary bark. It's great to make the house more secure, but I am always worried that they'll scare people just passing by the house, so we have a tall fence to keep the dogs in. It makes people feel better if they can't see the dogs, and it makes me feel better to know that the dogs are safe and secure in our yard. This blog is all about keeping your yard secure so that your dogs will be safe inside and don't make the neighbours feel nervous.
